Taken with a 70-300mm sitting on a tripod outside the beach hut on a warm though cloudy day. It has a weirdly serene if eerie quality to it.

Positive unexpected feedback
Thank you to Phil Gyford for putting up a link to my Walton-on-the-Naze set on flickr on his website: http://www.gyford.com/phil/links/2010/08/22/ , and his friend Paul Mison who added two of the shots to his favourites.

Frinton-In-Pain
Taken some half presentable photos in Frinton today.
Not bad considering my left arm is almost completely out of action after the vampires (phlebotomists) sucked what feels like 4 pints out of it.

Weather
It really needs to improve if I am going to get any decent shots of Walton this week. I'd like to get a couple of better ones of the Naze tower. I really want some old people with ice-creams, but that will be a case of chance and happenstance.
Must shoots: beach huts, seagulls, pier, ice-cream stand thingie, amusements, waves. You know. Seaside stuff.
Fish and chip shop - shoot, eat or both?

Not good
My munchkins are ill, I have a horrendous stomach cramps and the weather is so crap I don't know what to do.
Rapidly losing fight.
Must go do something positive.

First steps
Made a very ishy start on Assignment 3: Neighbourhood. We went up to the Naze in the freezing wind, and I managed to get 3 photographs.
And this rather nice one of Darwin:
